Cryptic publishes odds for each tier, not each item. The per-item figures below assume every prize within a tier is weighted equally. Published tier rates are shown unchanged; normalized figures are used by the simulator.

What the tool knows

The in-game tooltip publishes tier chances of 1/100, 1/40, 1/20, 1/10, 1/4, and 1/1.75. The supplied schematic table gives both the currency choice for a tier hit and the cost to buy a prize from that tier.

P(specific prize) = P(tier) ÷ listed prizes in tier

Equal item weighting is an assumption. Update the model if Cryptic publishes item-level weights.

Why “for sure” is different

No finite number of random openings can guarantee a direct drop. Schematics create a real ceiling because even the lowest result offers 5 schematics.

Guaranteed packs = ceil((target cost − bonuses) ÷ 5)

A direct target-item drop or any higher-tier schematic result can only improve the real outcome.
