AI CONTENT POLICY / UPDATED SEPTEMBER 19, 2026

AI is a tool. The finished work is still mine.

A practical explanation of where I use AI, what I verify, and when I disclose it.

My role

I choose the subjects, make the editorial decisions, supply the game and hardware knowledge, test claims where practical, and approve what gets published. AI does not replace my judgment or take responsibility for the finished work.

If an AI-assisted result is wrong, the responsibility to correct it is mine.

Where I use AI

I use AI tools as production assistance. That can include organizing research, developing outlines, checking drafts, troubleshooting code, building interactive tools, and exploring visual ideas.

The STO tools on this site are directed and tested by me, with ChatGPT and Codex used to help write and refine their code.

What I will not present as real

I do not knowingly publish invented quotations, fabricated sources, fictional test results, or synthetic product experiences as fact. I will not use an AI-generated version of a real person’s voice or likeness in a way that could reasonably be mistaken for that person without clear disclosure.

AI output is not treated as a source. Claims that matter should be checked against primary material, direct testing, or clearly identified evidence.

When I disclose it

I disclose AI use when it materially creates or alters something the audience could reasonably mistake for captured reality, when AI assistance is central to the work being presented, or when a sponsor or platform requires disclosure.

Routine background assistance—such as spelling, transcript cleanup, administrative organization, code scaffolding or early mockups that do not appear in the finished work—may not receive an individual label each time.

Corrections and questions

Tools and factual content can have edge cases or become outdated. If you find a problem, send the page or video, the specific issue, and any supporting evidence. I will review material errors and correct them in an appropriate visible place.
